Terms of Service
Laatst bijgewerkt 1 mei 2026 · 7 min leestijd
These terms govern your use of the KnipCloud platform — including this website, the mobile apps, and the salon admin tools.
1. Who we are
KnipCloud BV ("KnipCloud", "we") is a private company registered in the Netherlands at KvK 92345678. We operate the KnipCloud platform connecting customers with grooming professionals.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create a KnipCloud account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and email security@knipcloud.com. We may suspend any account that shows signs of compromise.
3. Booking and cancellation
Each salon sets its own cancellation policy, displayed at the booking checkout. You agree to that policy when you confirm a booking. KnipCloud's default policies are documented in our Help Centre.
We may waive a salon's policy in exceptional cases (illness, bereavement, force majeure) at our sole discretion.
4. Payments
All payments through KnipCloud are processed by our payment partner Stripe. Service prices are set by the salon and shown in euros (€), inclusive of VAT.
You authorise KnipCloud to charge your saved payment method for confirmed bookings, no-show fees, and any add-ons agreed at the salon.
5. Reviews
Reviews must be based on a real booking and reflect your honest experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that contain personal attacks, hate speech, or content unrelated to the booking.
Salons may respond to reviews once. We do not allow paid reviews or fake-review schemes — accounts found to be involved face permanent suspension.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use KnipCloud to harass, threaten, or defame any salon, stylist, or other customer.
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or harvest data from the platform.
- Impersonate another person or salon.
- Use KnipCloud to facilitate any service that is illegal under Dutch law.
Violations may result in account suspension or termination, with no refund of any unused balance.
7. Liability
KnipCloud is a marketplace — we connect you with salons but do not deliver the service ourselves. Salons are independent businesses responsible for the quality and safety of their work.
To the extent permitted by Dutch law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of KnipCloud is capped at the greater of €500 or the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You can close your account at any time from Account → Privacy. We may terminate or suspend access for users in serious or repeated breach of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify you by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Amsterdam, unless a consumer-protection rule under your country of residence requires otherwise.
11. Contact
Email legal@knipcloud.com with any question about these terms.
