Cookies Policy

This policy explains what cookies KnipCloud uses, why, and how you control them.

What's a cookie?

A small text file your browser stores when you visit a website. We use cookies for two purposes: to make the platform work (essential) and to understand how it's used (analytics).

Categories

Essential

Always on. Required for the platform to function. Disabling these breaks sign-in, the cart, the booking flow, and security checks.

  • token — your authentication session.
  • cart — items waiting to be checked out.
  • kc-cookie-consent — your cookie preferences.
  • CSRF token cookies set by our framework.

Analytics

Off by default. We use anonymised analytics to understand which pages users actually use and where they get stuck. No personally identifiable data is shared with third parties.

When enabled:

  • Self-hosted Plausible Analytics (no third-party trackers).

Marketing

Off by default. We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If we ever do, we will require explicit opt-in via the consent banner and update this policy.

Controlling your consent

The first time you visit KnipCloud, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the page. You can:

  • Accept all — enable all categories.
  • Reject all — only essential cookies.
  • Customise — toggle each category individually.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking the Cookie preferences link in the site footer.

Doing it through your browser

Most browsers let you block cookies entirely or clear them on a per-site basis. Note that blocking essential cookies will break the platform.

Updates

We'll update this policy whenever the cookie inventory changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
