How tipping works on KnipCloud

Tipping on KnipCloud is optional and never expected. The Netherlands does not have a strong tipping culture for salons, so we don't pre-select an amount.

When you can tip

After your appointment you'll get a prompt to rate and tip. You can choose €0, €5, €10, or a custom amount. The full amount goes to your stylist — KnipCloud does not take a cut on tips.

Where the money goes

Tips are paid out to the stylist in the same weekly cycle as their service earnings. They appear on the stylist's payout statement separately from service revenue.

Tipping in cash

You can always hand cash directly to your stylist at the salon. We won't track it, and we won't ask about it.
